PS - No real need to remove the whole (red) pipe, just cut it near the bend by the brake reservoir and remove that end from the exhaust manifold fitting. Then install the plug.

I recommend plugging the vacuum lines but leaving the EGR solenoid connected to the car's harness. Unless your ECU has been re-tuned to ignore it - unplugging will cause a trouble code. So just leave the solenoid connected. It's possible to fool the ECU with a resistor in place of the solenoid but why bother, its pretty hidden.
